Fantasy Premier League (FPL) content creation has exploded in recent years, with creators like FPL Focal, FPL Harry, FPL Mate, and Let’s Talk FPL turning their passion into a full-time profession.

So how much money are they really making? And more importantly could you do the same?

In this article, we break down the different ways YouTubers make money and use Let’s Talk FPL, the largest FPL channel, as a case study. If you're thinking of launching your own FPL channel, this will give you a realistic idea of what’s possible and how our FPL video templates can help you kickstart your journey with a professional edge.

Once you're approved for the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) which requires 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours in the past 12 months you unlock access to several monetisation features:

  • Ad Revenue: Earnings from ads shown on your videos
  • YouTube Premium Revenue: Share of subscription fees from Premium members who watch your content
  • Channel Memberships: Monthly subscriptions offering exclusive perks
  • Super Chat & Super Stickers: Viewers pay to highlight their messages during livestreams
  • Super Thanks: Tips viewers give on standard videos
  • YouTube Shopping: Selling products through YouTube-integrated storefronts

To estimate income, creators look at two metrics:

  • CPM (Cost Per Mille): What advertisers pay per 1,000 ad views
  • RPM (Revenue Per Mille): What you actually earn per 1,000 views, after YouTube takes its cut
To estimate how much Let’s Talk FPL might be making, we first looked at a smaller FPL content creator: Golden Goal Fantasy. In his video titled “What I’ve Earned After a Year on FPL YouTube”, he shares actual revenue data from his YouTube analytics.

From a 28-day period between October and November 2023, his analytics showed:

  • Estimated Revenue: £92.65

Calculating RPM (Revenue Per Mille)

RPM is the revenue a creator earns per 1,000 views after YouTube takes its cut. We calculate it like this:

  • RPM = (Revenue ÷ Views) × 1,000
  • RPM = (£92.65 ÷ 33,000) × 1,000 = £2.81

Estimating CPM (Cost Per Mille)

CPM is what advertisers pay before YouTube takes its share. YouTube typically takes 45% of ad revenue. So to estimate CPM:

  • CPM = RPM ÷ (1 - YouTube’s Cut)
  • CPM = £2.81 ÷ 0.55 = £5.11

So based on actual data:

  • RPM £2.81
  • CPM £5.11

We’ll now use this as the benchmark to estimate earnings for Let’s Talk FPL, keeping in mind that his videos perform on a completely different scale in terms of views, subscribers, and engagement.

Let’s Talk FPL, run by Andy, is the most subscribed-to FPL channel on YouTube, with 444,000+ subscribers and over 155 million views (as of April 2025).

We’ll now estimate his earnings across all major revenue streams.

Note: The following estimations are based on available data and industry averages; actual figures may vary.

Ad Revenue (from Views)

Using the RPM from Golden Goal Fantasy:

  • Estimated Monthly Views: 2,000,000
  • RPM: £2.81
  • Estimated Monthly Ad Revenue = (2,000,000 ÷ 1,000) × £2.81 = £5,620
  • Estimated Annual Ad Revenue = £5,620 × 10 (10 months in a Premier League season) = £56,200

Live streams provide additional income through Super Chat donations. For instance, during a recent live stream titled "ISAK OR PALMER (C) | FPL DEADLINE STREAM GAMEWEEK 31," viewers contributed approximately £350. Assuming two live streams per week:

  • Weekly Super Chat Revenue: £350 x 2 = £700
  • Monthly Super Chat Revenue: £700 x 4 = £2,800

Let’s Talk FPL offers three YouTube membership tiers that allow fans to support the channel and receive exclusive perks like badge icons, member-only posts, and priority replies:

  • Member: £2.99/month
  • Pro: £4.99/month
  • Legend: £8.99/month

Note: These prices were accurate as of May 2025, during the 2024/25 FPL seasons.
