How To Use Tags Effectively To Rank On YouTube & Grow Your FPL Channel

YTube Tool is powerful tool that enables you to see and extract YouTube Tags from any YouTube video by entering the YouTube URL.
The tool is particular useful when generating ‘effective’ Tags for your Fantasy Premier League videos.

So, what are YouTube Tags?

YouTube Tags, also known as ‘Video Tags’ are words and phrases you can add to your video to help viewers find your content. Tags are the most paramount ranking factors in the YouTube algorithm.

Why Are YouTube Tags Important?

Tags helps YouTube understand your video’s content. It allows them to associate your video with similar content, which increases your exposure and reachability.

How to rank your FPL content with Video Tags?

I’ve done a bit of research, and in terms of FPL, here are my personal recommendations:
1. Get Tags from videos that are currently ranking
Using the YTube tool, view the Tags used from three big FPL YouTube accounts.
Highlight the common tags between them and use them as starting point.

2. Keep the majority of your tags between 2 - 3 words
Not to say you can’t have tags longer than threes words, but reading through Briggsby study conducted in 2018, it appears YouTube seems to prefer 2-4 word phrases.

3. Less is more : No need to go overboard with tags
There’s misconception that the more tags you have the better. However, that’s not always the case. Remember the whole point of tags is to help the YouTube algorithm understand what your video is about. Using too many keywords could do more harm than good. When used correctly, research suggests that the optimal number of tags is between 31 and 40.

4. And lastly, list your tags in order of importance
YouTube priorities your video’s first few tags when ranking content, especially the first tag. So make sure your first tag is the exact keyword or phrase you want to target.
